Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a donut pan
- In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, sugar, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
- Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix until just combined
- Fold in chocolate chips
- Spoon or pipe batter into donut pan
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until set and lightly golden
- Let cool slightly before removing and serving
Notes
- Do not overfill donut molds
- Use ripe bananas for best flavor
- Add a glaze or dust with powdered sugar if desired
- Do not overbake to keep donuts soft
- Best enjoyed fresh
