Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Spread cherries evenly in the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until smooth.
- Add milk, vanilla extract, and salt and whisk again.
- Gradually mix in flour until batter is smooth.
- Pour batter over cherries in the baking dish.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until puffed and lightly golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
