Creamy Chicken Ritz Casserole

This creamy chicken Ritz casserole is a classic comfort dish packed with tender chicken, rich creamy sauce, and a buttery cracker topping. The crispy Ritz layer adds the perfect crunch to the creamy filling underneath. It’s an easy family dinner that always disappears fast.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers crushed
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a casserole dish.
  2. In a large bowl combine shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream.
  3. Add garlic powder, salt, and black pepper and mix well.
  4. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish.
  6. In a small bowl mix crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter.
  7. Sprinkle the buttery cracker topping evenly over the casserole.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the top becomes golden and crispy.
  9. Let the casserole cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Rotisserie chicken works great for this recipe.
  • Add cooked broccoli for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • For extra cheesiness, mix mozzarella with the cheddar.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
