- Wash, peel, and cut potatoes into thin finger-shaped sticks.
- Soak the potato sticks in cold water for about 10 minutes.
- Drain and pat the potatoes dry with a towel.
- Toss the potato sticks with cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to about 350°F (175°C).
- Fry potatoes in batches for 4–5 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Sprinkle chopped parsley on top if desired.
- Serve hot with ketchup or your favorite dip.
Notes
- Soaking potatoes helps remove excess starch for crispier fries.
- Double fry for extra crunch if desired.
- Add chili powder or Parmesan for extra flavor.
