Crispy Potato Finger Sticks

These crispy potato finger sticks are golden, crunchy, and irresistibly delicious. Thin potato strips fry up perfectly crisp on the outside while staying soft and fluffy inside. They make a perfect snack, appetizer, or side dish with your favorite dipping sauces.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 medium potatoes cut into finger sticks
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley optional garnish

Method
 

  1. Wash, peel, and cut potatoes into thin finger-shaped sticks.
  2. Soak the potato sticks in cold water for about 10 minutes.
  3. Drain and pat the potatoes dry with a towel.
  4. Toss the potato sticks with cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Heat oil in a deep skillet to about 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry potatoes in batches for 4–5 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top if desired.
  9. Serve hot with ketchup or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Soaking potatoes helps remove excess starch for crispier fries.
  • Double fry for extra crunch if desired.
  • Add chili powder or Parmesan for extra flavor.
  • Best served fresh and hot.
