Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray
  2. Mix sugar, cocoa powder, and oil until smooth
  3. Add eggs one at a time and mix well
  4. Stir in vanilla extract
  5. In another bowl combine flour, baking powder, and salt
  6. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture
  7. Chill the dough for 1–2 hours for best results
  8. Scoop small portions and roll into balls
  9. Coat each ball generously in powdered sugar
  10. Place on tray and bake for 10–12 minutes

Notes

  • Chilling dough helps create perfect cracks
  • Do not overbake to keep cookies soft
  • Use good-quality cocoa for a rich flavor
  • Store in an airtight container for freshness
