Easy Caramelized Pineapple Recipe

This caramelized pineapple is sweet, juicy, and coated in a warm buttery caramel glaze. Fresh pineapple slices cook until golden and slightly crisp on the edges. It’s a quick dessert that pairs perfectly with ice cream, pancakes, or yogurt.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks or slices
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add butter and allow it to melt completely.
  3. Stir in brown sugar and cinnamon until the mixture begins to bubble.
  4. Add pineapple pieces to the skillet.
  5. Cook for about 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Allow the pineapple to caramelize until golden.
  7. Stir in vanilla extract.
  8. Cook another 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh ripe pineapple for the best sweetness.
  • Add a splash of rum for a tropical dessert twist.
  • Serve over vanilla ice cream or pancakes.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
