Ingredients
  

  • 500 g boneless chicken cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • Oil for frying
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch for slurry
  • Green onions for garnish

Method
 

  1. Dip chicken pieces in eggs, then coat with cornstarch.
  2. Heat oil and fry chicken until golden and crispy, then set aside.
  3. In a pan, sauté garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add honey, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, and water.
  5. Mix cornstarch with a little water and add to the sauce.
  6. Cook until sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  7. Add fried chicken and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Drizzle sesame oil and mix well.
  9. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, then serve hot.

Notes

  • Fry in batches for maximum crispiness.
  • Adjust sweetness or tanginess to taste.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Serve immediately to keep the chicken crispy.
