Ingredients
  

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves
  • ¾ cup pure maple syrup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp edges if desired.
  3. Arrange pecan halves evenly inside the crust.
  4. In a bowl, whisk maple syrup, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  5. Add eggs and whisk until smooth.
  6. Stir in melted butter, bourbon, vanilla extract, and salt.
  7. Pour mixture evenly over pecans.
  8. Bake for 45–50 minutes until filling is set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  9. Cover crust edges with foil if browning too quickly.
  10. Cool completely before slicing.

  • Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor.
  • Lightly toast pecans before baking for a deeper taste.
  • Allow the pie to cool for at least 2 hours to set properly.
  • Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
