Method
- In a bowl mix warm water, honey, and yeast and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, rolled oats, melted butter, and salt.
- Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 6–8 minutes until smooth.
- Cover and let the dough rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in the pan.
- Sprinkle oats on top of the dough.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the bread cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use whole wheat flour for a heartier loaf.
- Brush the top with honey for extra sweetness.
- Store bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Freeze slices for longer storage.
