Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in heavy cream until a soft dough forms.
Drop dough into 6 biscuit portions on the baking tray.
Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
Toss sliced strawberries with sugar and set aside.
Whip heavy cream with vanilla until soft peaks form.
Split shortcake biscuits in half.
Layer with strawberries and whipped cream.
Place the top half back on and serve immediately.
