Method
- Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture gently until fluffy.
- Stir in cinnamon if using.
- Fold in diced peaches (and strawberries if using) carefully.
- Sprinkle crushed cookies into the mixture and fold lightly.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and top with extra cookie crumbs and brown sugar if desired.
- Chill at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- Drain canned peaches very well to avoid a watery salad.
- Use room-temperature cream cheese for a smooth filling.
- Add chopped pecans for extra cobbler-style crunch.
- Store covered in the refrigerator up to 2 days.
