Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans 5 oz each tuna, drained
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons celery finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons red onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 8 slices sandwich bread
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, mix tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, red onion, and lemon juice.
  2. Season with salt and black pepper and stir until combined.
  3. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  4. Place four slices butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Spoon tuna mixture evenly onto each slice.
  6. Top each with a slice of cheddar cheese.
  7. Cover with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
  8. Cook for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Flip carefully and cook another 3–4 minutes until cheese melts.
  10. Remove from skillet and slice in half before serving.

Notes

  • Use thick-cut bread for extra crunch.
  • Add sliced tomatoes for freshness.
  • Try mozzarella or Swiss cheese for a flavor twist.
  • Serve immediately while the cheese is hot and melty.
