Method
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Coat chicken in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil and fry chicken until golden and fully cooked.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Mix all tonkatsu sauce ingredients in a bowl.
- Slice chicken into strips.
- Divide rice into bowls and top with shredded cabbage.
- Place sliced chicken on top and drizzle with sauce.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying.
- Add a soft-boiled egg for extra richness.
