Million Dollar Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 12 lasagna noodles cooked and drained
  • lbs ground beef
  • 1 jar 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Cook lasagna noodles per package directions, then drain.
  3. Brown ground beef with garlic over medium heat and drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, ricotta, and egg until smooth.
  6. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
  7. Layer noodles, cream cheese mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat.
  8. Top with remaining meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  11. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
  12. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and serve hot.

Notes

  • Make it ahead: Assemble the night before and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • Freeze it: Fully assembled lasagna freezes well for up to 3 months.
  • Swap ground beef for Italian sausage for a deeper, richer flavor.
  • Always let it rest before slicing so the layers hold together.
  • Add red pepper flakes to the sauce for a little heat.
