Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray.
- In a bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until dough forms.
- Scoop dough onto baking tray, spacing cookies apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Do not overbake to keep cookies soft.
- Add chocolate chips or raisins for variation.
- Chill the dough for thicker cookies.
