Ingredients
  

  • 2 cod fillets
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. Pat cod fillets dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and lemon juice.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Place cod in the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes per side.
  5. Pour the sauce over the fish and let it simmer.
  6. Spoon glaze over cod until slightly thickened.
  7. Cook until fish is flaky and fully done.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  9. Serve hot with rice or vegetables.

Notes

  • Do not overcook cod to keep it tender.
  • Use fresh ginger for the best flavor.
  • You can bake instead of pan-frying if preferred.
  • Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
