Ingredients
  

  • cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional

Method
 

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan combine chocolate chips, condensed milk, and butter.
  3. Heat over low heat while stirring constantly until smooth and melted.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Fold in chopped nuts if using.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Spread evenly with a spatula.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour until firm.
  9. Cut into squares before serving.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor.
  • Add mini marshmallows for a rocky road twist.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
