Ingredients
  

  • 250 g spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • Grated parmesan cheese for serving
  • Fresh basil for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions and drain.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onion until soft.
  3. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce and tomato paste.
  5. Add sugar, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil, then mix well.
  6. Simmer sauce for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
  7. Add cooked spaghetti and toss until fully coated.
  8. Serve hot with parmesan cheese and fresh basil.

Notes

  • Use fresh herbs for a more vibrant flavor.
  • Add ground beef or chicken for a meaty version.
  • Adjust seasoning based on taste preference.
  • Best served immediately while warm.
