Method
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each sourdough slice.
- Place two slices butter-side down in the skillet.
- Layer brie slices evenly over the bread.
- Add cooked bacon on top of the brie.
- Drizzle honey and sprinkle thyme if using.
- Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip carefully and cook another 3–4 minutes until brie is fully melted.
- Remove from skillet and let rest 1 minute before slicing.
Notes
- Use room-temperature brie for easier melting.
- Cook on medium heat to avoid burning the bread.
- Add thin apple slices for a sweet contrast.
- Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
