Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 6 oz brie cheese sliced
  • 4 –6 slices cooked bacon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves optional
  • Black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each sourdough slice.
  3. Place two slices butter-side down in the skillet.
  4. Layer brie slices evenly over the bread.
  5. Add cooked bacon on top of the brie.
  6. Drizzle honey and sprinkle thyme if using.
  7. Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
  8. Cook for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Flip carefully and cook another 3–4 minutes until brie is fully melted.
  10. Remove from skillet and let rest 1 minute before slicing.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature brie for easier melting.
  • Cook on medium heat to avoid burning the bread.
  • Add thin apple slices for a sweet contrast.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
