Sweet & Savory Barbecue Apricot Chicken is a delicious combination of smoky barbecue sauce and sweet apricot preserves. Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • ½ cup apricot preserves
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  3. Place chicken breasts evenly in the baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, apricot preserves, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  5. Stir in paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Pour sauce evenly over the chicken.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Spoon extra sauce from the pan over the chicken before serving.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for a richer flavor.
  • Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end for a caramelized glaze.
  • Add chili flakes if you prefer a little heat.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
