Ingredients
  

  • 500 g boneless chicken cubes
  • 1 cup thick yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 capsicum cubed
  • 1 onion cubed
  • Skewers wooden or metal

Method
 

  1. In a bowl combine yogurt, lemon juice, spices, ginger garlic paste, mustard oil, and salt
  2. Add chicken and mix until fully coated
  3. Cover and marinate in the fridge for 2–4 hours
  4. Thread chicken, capsicum, and onion onto skewers
  5. Preheat grill or oven to medium-high heat
  6. Cook skewers for 12–15 minutes turning occasionally until charred and cooked through
  7. Serve hot with chutney or naan

Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water before grilling to avoid burning
Use hung curd for a thicker, richer marinade
Add a pinch of smoked paprika for extra smoky flavor
Don’t overcook to keep the chicken juicy and tender
